Mercury
Mercury is the smallest of the planets but closest to the sun. It is just like the Earth's moon,
gray and rocky.
Venus
Only thing visible is its clouds. Sulfur makes them yellow.
Earth
Earth is where we live. It has many things on it.They say that the only main 3 colors
on earth are white clouds, blue oceans, and brown land.
Mars
Most distant rocky planet. It is red all over except for its white poles.
-Has shone for 4.6 billion years and will shine about another 5 billion years
-Is a huge ball of gas
-75% hydrogen
-25% helium
-Small amounts of 90 other elements
-The core is 27,000,000 degrees F
-The surface is 9,900 degrees F
- It could fit 1.3 million Earths inside it
-When seen in ultra violet light the sun appears to be a deep orange
The ringed planets are Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune.
-Has 7 main rings
-100s of smaller rings
-Rings are made of particles and dirty ice
-Each piece of ring orbits around Saturn
Saturn's Moons
Saturn's moons are: Titan, Enceladus, Mimas, and Phoebe.
Comets range a few miles across
-In the middle of the comet is the nucleus, a spinning dirty snowball
-Tails on a comet start when the comet goes into the inner solar system
-The size of the tails can be up to 62,137,000 miles long
-The tails are made of dust
